Acceptance

By creating an Ortu account or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority where you live) to use Ortu. If you're recording data about a child, you confirm you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or have explicit permission from one.

Your account

You're responsible for what happens with your account:

• Keep your sign-in credentials secure and don't share your one-time codes with anyone.
• Give us accurate information and update it when it changes.
• Only invite people you trust into your family — they will see your shared child and pregnancy data.

Acceptable use

When using Ortu, you agree to:

• Use the app only for lawful, personal, family purposes.
• Not upload content that is illegal, abusive, or violates anyone's privacy or intellectual property.
• Not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app.
• Not scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the app outside the export tools we provide.

Not a medical service

Ortu is a tracker and companion — not a doctor, midwife, or medical device. The information in the app, including AI-generated replies, is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice.

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for any medical question or symptom. If you think you or your child has a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately.

Pregnancy red flags (severe pain, heavy bleeding, reduced fetal movements, severe headache, vision changes, fluid leakage) require immediate medical attention. Do not rely on Ortu in place of contacting your clinician or hospital.

Subscriptions and billing

Ortu offers a paid subscription, billed per family. After any free trial, the subscription renews automatically until you cancel. The price is shown clearly before you buy. You can manage or cancel your subscription any time through your App Store or Google Play account, and your data can always be exported from Settings.

Intellectual property

Ortu, the Ortu name, logo, and app are owned by us. You keep ownership of the content you upload (your photos, notes, etc.). You grant us a limited license to store and process that content so we can provide the service to you and your family.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We can suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, but we'll tell you why where possible.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ortu is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for medical decisions made in reliance on the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be heard by the courts of Singapore, unless local consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings where you live.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. For material changes, we'll notify you in-app and ask you to review and re-accept before continuing.
